Tailored Treks was established in 2008 by Kumar Karki. Kumar is a very experienced trekking guide. Impressively he has worked his way from humble begginings in rural Nepal. Having started life as a porter he decided to train in cooking and hygeine before heading teams of expedition chefs. Whilst working with foreign clients he enjoyed chatting land learning about foreign cultures whilst taking the opportunity to improve his spoken English. He also became skilled in first aid including the identification and prevention of altutude sickness. Eventually after working his way through the ranks Kumar has gained a reputation as a level headed and trustworthy trekking guide.
