The weather in the Arun vally is usually more rainy than in the Everest region, although it’s drier in the upper Barun Valley. Mid October is considered the best time to make treks in this region. The route down the Arun kosi is particularly different in early October, before the harvest, because all possible campsites remain planted with rice.
