
Rolwaling Tashi Lapcha Trek
Rolwaling-Khumbu trek offers one of the most magical mountain experiences, the extreme high altitude settlement of Sherpa cultural villages, Simigaun, have sacred monasteries where they base to do their customs. The typical Sherpa cultural programs performed by Sherpa mother community groups when tourists visit and the collected money spent for the development of the village. Potato, barley and back wheat’s are grown, all untouched by touristic exploration. You will have an extremely challenging trip while you go from barley and potato field, and yak pastures to the Glacier Lake of Tsho Rolpa Lake (4,550m), all shades of blue from cerulean to aqua to turquoise, different kinds of beautiful wildlife birds are seen, especially in March to June that may say the highest lake in the world. The twin headed Gauri Shankar (7,134) and Melungtse (7,181m) in a veritable sea of other 6,000m,for most trekkers the only chance to trek up a high altitude glacier, Trolambu (altitude) will be a once –in-a-life time experience. The trek itself allows for them who are physically fit and understand the effects of altitude, the Tasshi Lapcha pass (5,755m) and there are two glacier walks.
Itinerary
Day 1. Arrival and transfer to the Hotel
Day 2. Full day Kathmandu valley sightseeing
Day 3. Drive to Sigati Bazar by bus or car (1,650m)
Day 4. Sigati bazar to Jagat
Day 5. Jagat to Simigaun (2000m)
Day 6. Rest day in Simigaun Village (2000m)
Day 7. Simigaun to River Camp side overnight
Day 8. River camp side to Beding
Day 9. Beding to Na (4,183m)
Day 10. Rest day for the accalimatization
Day 11. Na to Dza Bua (5,000 m)
Day 12. Dza Bua to Trolambau high pass (5,600m)
Day 13. Trolambau high pass to Tashi Lapcha base camp
Day 14. Tashi Lapcha base camp to Tashi lapcha cross 5,755m, through similar extern. Terrain, traverse moraines, views of makalu and Ama Dablam and valley down to the high village of Thengpo (4,350m)
Day 15. Thengpo to Namche Bazzar (3,440m)
Day 16. Namche bazaar to Lukla (2,850)
Day 17. Fly back to Kathmandu
Day 18. Free day in KTM, souvenir shopping
